The operation of Prague Ruzyne airport will not start before Monday, April 19th, 12:00.....
Nothing new regarding the re-opening of the Prague Ruzyne airport - the operation will not start before Sunday, April 18th, 12:00.
Important notice to poster presenters!
Due to the unfortunate coincidence of the RadChem with the infamous Eyjafjallajökull explosion and due to the non-existing air traffic over the Europe, a number of participants, especially those from the overseas, are not able to come. Therefore, the programme of the meeting has to be modified. As one of the changes, we decided to give a chance to poster presenters to advertise their posters in improvised informal short verbal presentations – „Poster Appetizers“ (3-5 min long, with 3 PowerPoint slides at maximum).
Each poster session will be preceded by this poster „Appetizer“ session the same day (for details see the daily program update).
Therefore, all the poster presenters are kindly requested to prepare and present such an “Appetizer”.
The operation of Prague Ruzyne airport will not start before Sunday, April 18th, 12:00.
The operation of Prague Ruzyne airport will not start minimally till Saturday 17.4. 18:00. All the measures regarding RadChem 2010 remain unchanged as listed below.
Dear Colleagues,
Airport Prague - Ruzyne has been closed today at 12:00 for the rest of the day because of the volcanic ash cloud spreading over most of the Europe. The official forecast for the coming days has not been issued, yet, however the simulations available on the web are not very promising and it is probable that your arrival to the conference will be more complicated than expected. Therefore, the following measures are taken:
1) The conference will start as scheduled and all the arrangements (transportation from Prague etc.) on Sunday will run as announced.
2) Later today, a RadChem 2010 emergency phone line will be opened where we will try to assist you in case of any problems with reaching the conference venue.
3) A service was established that will enable us to post the most actual information and news on the RadChem web page.
4) If the arrival of some participants is delayed, the conference programme will be modified accordingly to allow for all the presentations to take place.
5) If the air-traffic is restored later than on Sunday morning, we will try to arrange some alternative transportation of the delayed participants from Prague to Marianske Lazne.
6) If you decide to change your transportation from plane to train, you do not have to go via Prague. Marianske Lazne can be easily reached from Cheb (Eger) or Plzen (Pilsen).
We are very sorry for the problems that really are well beyond the reach of our influence....
